Shri Ram Dular Dwivedi 12th Medha Vikas Competition & Srimad Bhagavad Gita (Gita) Knowledge Competition Year 2026 (For students currently studying in Class 10)
(a) It is mandatory for students participating in this competition to be currently studying in Class 10 in a school recognized by UPMSP (UP Board).
(b) Principals shall send a maximum of 10 such children studying in Class 10 to participate in the competition who secured Top-10 merit in Class 9 or are in the Top-10 in Class 10. (Note:- It would be more appropriate to select the Top-10 on the basis of a written test).
Subjects and Marks of the Examination:- English 30 marks, Sanskrit 15, Social Science 15, Science 15, Mathematics 15, and General Knowledge (GK) 10 marks. Total Marks = 100 + 40 marks for Gita (Total Maximum Marks: 140).
Note:- Questions in English and Sanskrit will be from Grammar only. In each subject, questions will be from 70% of the course taught in Class 10.
Only short and very short answer type questions will be asked in Science and Social Science. Each question will carry 2 marks. There will be five essay/detailed answer type questions in Mathematics. Each question will carry 3 marks.
(a) Any ten shlokas out of the total 17 shlokas from Chapter 11 of the Gita (Verse numbers 15 to 22 and Verse numbers 36 to 44) must be written. Each shloka will carry 2 marks.
(b) In addition, five short answer type questions will be asked in Hindi from Chapter 4 of the Gita. Each question will carry 2 marks. The shloka number will be provided, and answers must be written accordingly.
(c) Five questions on fill-in-the-blanks in Hindi will be from Chapter 04 of the Gita itself. Each sentence will have two blanks. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Note:- The Top 10 merit list will be prepared by adding the marks of the Talent Selection and Gita Knowledge Quiz. First place winner will get cash. Second place winner will get cash. Third place winner will get cash.
First Prize - ₹21,000 (Twenty-One Thousand Rupees)
Second Prize - ₹15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Rupees)
Third Prize - ₹11,000 (Eleven Thousand Rupees) Consolation Prizes:- Additionally, a consolation prize of One Thousand Five Hundred Rupees will be given to each of the seven participants ranking from fourth to tenth place.
Second Consolation Prize:- Among the schools remaining after the Top 10 schools, the participant who scores the highest marks in their respective school will also be given a prize of ₹1,100, but no prize will be payable to anyone if the score is less than 33%, i.e., marks obtained are less than 46.
9. Special Prize:- If all ten participants of a school secure passing marks separately in the sum of the 6 subjects and the Gita, all children of that school will be given a special prize of ₹1,100.
10. The Top-3 participants scoring the highest marks in the Gita Knowledge Competition will be given separate prizes of ₹5,100, ₹4,100, and ₹3,100 respectively.
11. The school obtaining the highest average marks will be awarded a trophy along with a large-sized water cooler or AC worth approximately fifty thousand rupees, as in previous years.
12. The exam is to be taken while sitting on a mat (Tatpatti), so examinees must bring their own pen, pad/cardboard.
13. Arrangements for writing answers will be in the question paper booklet. Paper (White Paper) will be provided for rough work. Write only answers on the answersheet, and do all solving work on the rough paper only, especially for Mathematics and Science.
14. Do not keep any cheating materials such as calculators, mobiles, pagers, smartwatches, or chits with you.
15. After the examination, food arrangements will be made for all students and present principals, teachers, guardians, etc., as in past years. Light refreshments will also be arranged for everyone before the examination.
16. Respected Principal Brothers are requested to kindly certify the details of the students on the provided format (Exam Entry Form) and staple/tag it in a file and submit it to any of the exam coordinators by the latest date of August 10, 2026.
17. School bags or other gifts will be provided as prizes to all students participating in this competition.
Prize Distribution and Felicitation Ceremony:- The declaration of results and prize distribution will be done by the Chief Guest on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 09:00 AM onwards.
Parents and principals of participants securing Top-3 merit in this examination will also be felicitated by the Chief Guest. Since principals of all schools participating in this competition will be honored, the presence of all principals is earnestly solicited.
Note:- Teachers who make special contributions to the participants will also be honored like in previous years.
